Lysander I of Eros was the third emperor of the Realm of Eros born in the year 2 AAC. Lysander’s parents were Aeson II and the Naxian princess Metipha, niece of Krinotax of Helitassus. Unlike his father and grandfather, Lysander was a quieter man, more drawn to knowledge and books than to ruling the new realm.

He succeeded his father Aeson II in the year 41 AAC and was himself succeeded by his son Aeson III.

Lysander is remembered for constructing the Library of Megapion in the city of Megapion, and for being the only emperor to abdicate the throne – passing it to his son, Aeson III, so he could devote himself fully to his beloved library.
