Aeson II of Eros, born 18 BAC, was the second emperor of the Realm of Eros. He succeeded his father Aeson I in the year 23 AAC and was himself succeeded by his son Lysander I after this death in the year 41 AAC.

Aeson was a loyal, fierce warrior, and he fought alongside his father during the campaign of Krinotax from Helitassus, in the aftermath of the victory against the forces of Naxios Aeson II married the niece of Krinotax, Metipha.

Aeson II’s western ambitions came later, after 23 AAC, once he sat the throne his father had built. He turned his attention to the Valley of Naé, and there, by force rather than treaty, brought the city of Phoclyos into the Realm. Unlike the marriage to Metipha, there is little ambiguity in how this conquest is remembered, Erosian sources are uniformly proud of it, and no rival account has survived to complicate the picture. Phoclyos would go on to anchor Eros’s presence at the edge of Breasia for generations, a foothold whose origins in Aeson II’s western campaign are largely forgotten by the time it appears in later chronicles as simply an Erosian city on the river Korlos.
